Renew the server SSL Certificate

You need to renew your certificate when its expiry date is coming soon. When an administrator connects to the provconnect server, he will receive a notification like this one on the server landing page.

How to renew my SSL Certificate ?



A) Import or create an ssl certificate in your IIS



B) Distribute the new certificate to your current devices agent

(SELF SIGNED CERTIFICATE ONLY)


C) Switch to the new certificate in your IIS


D) Activate the new certificate in the Provconnect Server 

(SELF SIGNED CERTIFICATE ONLY)

The activation is only possible when every enrolled devices received the new certificate, or when the old certificates has expired.


What happens if I don't renew my certificate ?



Your devices will unenroll automatically. Once you activate your new certificate, an administrator will be able to enroll them back automatically or manually. The communication with the server between the devices and the server will not be lost during that time.
